My Favorite Smoothie

So since my iron episode I have been having my favorite iron smoothies in the morning to give me a little extra boost for the day here is the recipe

1 handful Spinach
1/2 an orange [peeled]
1/2 cup pineapple
1 tablespoon honey
1 cup water
Blend :)

This smoothie is super yummy and rich in iron plus the vitamin C helps the iron to absorb better! I absolutely love Green Smoothies, ally my friends are scared because smoothies "shouldn't be green" but I find I like the mix of sweet and tangy and you get more benefits!

  1. Many smoothies are actually NOT that great because people put juice and other stuff in. Yours sounds fantastic. Green is an awesome colour… especially in food. Good rule of thumb is dark veggies have more nutrients per bite than light ones. NOt always but it's an easy thing to remember and may help choose better stuff. Think spinach vs iceberg lettuce.
